Every TS4 Base Game Wall Deco

Basically every wall deco item from the Sims 4 Base Game, items are made functional, for example, the clothes rack are wardrobes, the medicine cabinet opens up when used, there are lights.

A big note

As you can see, some of the frames I have grouped together to share art. It also gave me freedom to keep some Sims 2 swatches too! If you prefer not to have these, you can always delete the files, I have them separated in the download files. So if you would like to add recolours, simply find the main files to do so!

Some frames are not there if they share the same mesh as others, their recolours and art work are included still, just not on their own item. Hope that makes sense?

REQUIRED - My Sims 4 Shadow file (included) is required for the shadows to work properly, you only need one of these files in your downloads folder!

@sims4t2bb - there is a documentation included, detailing what physical meshes are there, all swatches are present, but some items aren't in their own item as they share meshes with another model, so I combined? If that makes sense?

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s been a month since I uploaded something. I didn’t anticipate being gone for so long 😅

This upload is inspired by one of my favorite vampire tv shows, What We Do in the Shadows. (It was supposed to be my Simblreen gift this year, but I'm hella late cuz IRL suuuuuucks...blood. 😅)

The DL folder includes 4 zip files:

Maxis Match TS2 CD Sales Rack

Hello, happy 2023!

Today I have a non-3t2 gift: a Maxis-match CD store set for your neighborhood music shop. I have three objects for you: a standing CD floor rack, a hanging wall rack, and a section nameplate. Plus recolors!

I was feeling nostalgic for the mid-aughts when CDs ruled the world, and in particular I was remembering the music section of the deceased Borders bookstore chain (RIP) when I made this set.

The display cases are repo'd to the Zecutine commercial counter (you must have H&M for this to work in your game) so they will pick up any recolors you might already have. The wall shelf and the border around the section sign are also repo'd to the H&M counter.

For the CD textures, the standing floor rack is the parent and the hanging rack is the child. I've made you six different CD shelf types:

3. World music (this was such a staple in every CD store, and there was always a collection of Paris cafe music?)

4. Punk/rock (lots of parental advisory stickers in this section! You can't see it in the final product, but I did make them Simlish...)

5. Pop music #1

6. Pop music #2

There are five sign recolors included. They say (in Simlish): Classical, Jazz/Blues, New Releases, Pop/Rock, and World.

All three objects will be in Electronics > Audio for §350.

And as a bonus, I've got the PSD file if you want to make your own CD covers! All you need are many small square images and you're set to go. It's a grid so it's pretty easy to customize yourself.

For your coat rack problem, check out Rustic Padre Object Mesh Set by Padre333 at MTS and Mustluvcatz's In the Hall Set. Limonaire also has some 4t2 wall racks and there are other 3t2 and 4t2 conversion odds and ends that can make a coat rack. Not sure how exhaustive a list you need!

When artistic visionary Ann Ghelld passed away, she bequeathed her beloved townhouse to the city as affordable housing for fellow creative types... on one stipulation; that nobody touched its eccentric and wildly impractical layout. While this final request has caused its share of architectural headaches, nonetheless, the Ann Ghelld Building survives in the heart of Sim City’s basket weaving district. Upon crossing its unusual threshold you might grab a coffee from Cafe Urele, pick up a bouquet or snacks from LlaMart Convenience, or simply catch the elevator up to any of its three apartments.

I love watching LilSimsie’s videos, even though we play different editions, and I particularly enjoy her shell challenges - where she uploads empty exterior walls and others have to make a lot out of it. I especially liked this one, referred to lovingly by LilSimsie & her followers as the “Big Mistake Shell Challenge” - because all the exterior walls are 100% diagonal.

This is just as difficult to work around in TS4 as it is in TS2, so I wanted to join in the torture! The (wonky) red lines mark the untouchable shell. I ended up really happy with the results, so I’m sharing this fully-furnished, cleaned, play-tested, CC-free apartment building in the hopes you’ll enjoy it too.

🚨 PLEASE LOAD THIS LOT BEFORE MOVING SIMS IN 🚨

When you move Sims into an apartment, it’s difficult to safely alter anything outside, so please make sure to check that everything is as it should be before you move Sims in.

You do not need CC or mods to play this lot. However, it was made with a few common mods in mind, and if you don’t want to use them, please tweak the lot before playing:

Rugs have been placed off-grid. Either make sure you have Rugs Off The Grid, or delete/move rugs to avoid graphical glitches as seen in these previews.

If you don’t have Water Inaccessible Flowers and Trim Inaccessible Bushes then you may need to move/delete some landscaping and/or fences.

The ground floor was designed for use with Apartments & Shopping On The Same Lot. If you don’t use this mod, nothing bad will happen, but the bottom floor will not sell anything except via the vending machines & electronics kiosk. You can replace the convenience store with a common area such as an indoor pool, computer room, etc, or even another apartment; I honestly recommend leaving the cafe as-is, because your playable Sims can still work there as a barista.

There is no CC in this lot, but there are some deco "accessory” items not normally accessible by players (e.g. a saucepan). If you delete these you may not be able to replace them. Similarly, some items were placed with Shiftable Everything. If you delete some items you may not be able to replace them in the same positions without this mod.

A corner counter in the top apartment may not corner properly when the lot is placed. This can be fixed with moveobjects. Although it clips, it is considered within the apartment, so you can put objects on it without apartment cheats.

If you don’t use Shiftable Trash Chutes, your chutes may appear glitched (see below). This is harmless and can be fixed simply by replacing the chute. Note: the chute on the second floor was originally placed with the cheat setquartertileplacement on.

If you play with CC, then I also have some suggestions for where it might improve this lot:

The expensive computer in the cafe (I hate that hideous thing) would be much better as a laptop.

The flower plots on the rooftop would also make a great produce garden with Honeywell’s placeable garden plots.

You can replace a corkboard in the lobby with a jobs board.

The signs for Cafe Urele might look nicer with a recolour or swapped out for a cute sandwich board.

The bike racks by the basketball court look a bit bare without some deco bikes.

The bare brick wall at the back of the building is prime real estate for some graffiti.

The busker’s guitar out the front will look a little more appropriate with an invisible amp recolour and maybe a decorative case.

If you find all the lights overpowering, don’t forget to turn some off.

And of course, don’t forget to add fences, hedges, etc. that will make this lot blend in better with the surrounding lots in your hood.

The first apartment has two separate bedrooms; Currently, it’s furnished as though occupied by two unrelated roommates - one sewist and one musician - but it could also work for a parent and a child. It has this kitchenette common area as well as a small balcony.

The second apartment is the most “luxury”. It’s a cozy open-plan studio with a double bed, a small but quality kitchen, and its own balcony. This is ideal for a D.I.N.K couple or perhaps a single Romance Sim.

The top apartment is the smallest and cheapest, barely fitting a kitchenette and single bed, but there’s space to move out on the building’s largest balcony. Perfect for an artsy single Sim working or studying in the big city. (The little reading nook bumpout is my favourite detail.)

All bathrooms are more or less identical, with a toilet, basin, medicine cabinet, trash can, and shower. The second floor studio has a shower/bath combo.

I wanted the lot to have free skilling opportunities, so all residents have access to the rooftop garden and free use of the crafting station & chess set there. There’s also a bookcase in the cafe, a guitar on the street for busking, an outdoor gym, and a basketball hoop.

Sims should be able to access everything (except the flowers/hedges - see above) without routing errors, though of course, with such an “interesting” layout, your Sims might get a bit cramped and fussy. The only issue I ran into is that there’s nowhere on the second floor for the newspaper to be delivered, so it often glitches into the apartment on the left, regardless of which apartment you live in. You can retrieve the paper in buy mode without cheats. This is not an issue on the top floor.

Modern Kitchen Set 🍳

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!! An anon asked if I could convert the counter ovens from The Sims 4: Dream Home Decorator and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to convert the under the counter ovens and stovetops as well! I also threw in a pot rack I converted a while ago (this one’s for you @enable--llamas​ 😉).

The counter ovens function as microwaves, and I’ve also included alternative versions that function as Arsil’s Generic Food Makers. There’s a slot on top of both for you to place some kitchen décor.

The stovetops work like stoves and can be placed on counters without routing errors or collision issues (thank you @aa6x7 for the tip!). When cooking recipes that involve the oven, your sim will just stick the food in the counter below :p

For the under the counter ovens, each one has two parts: the base of the oven that functions as a trash compactor so it can slot under the counter properly and the oven door that works like an oven. Just like with the stovetops, when cooking recipes that involve the stove, your sim will just be cooking over the counter.

Note: For the counter ovens, if you don’t want the big mixing bowl used for certain microwave recipes to clip through the rack, there is a second CAStable preset of both counter ovens where the rack is invisible.

an expansion on the accordion wall rack set I made a while ago, I added a simple strip version of the wall rack in thin and thick, you can use them single or put them in a row. I also added extra re-colours where the pegs stay wood. I also made extra clothing items to hang on the rack, this time around winter themed, they are all liberated from EA meshes but I edited them a lot to fit on the rack and look natural hanging there, I also added re-colours in all my usual colours.

what is a hallway without shoes? I converted 9 different shoes from CAS into clutter items, they have the original EA swatches + some extra recolours by me. to add some variety I edited the meshes so they look more like shoes you aren't wearing right now.

There’s so much I could say about how much TS4′s Snowy Escape EP initially excited and ultimately disappointed me. But eff it, here’s a set of converted items for TS3!

EA’s Ema variations were non-existent, so I used Icebox/Simnaru’s vatiations instead.

This is the sole reason I even bothered making this set, as EA royally pissed me off by removing the praying interactions at Shinto shrines in TS4. Like WTF. TS2 has prayable Shinto shrines in Bon Voyage, and people love them. Eff EA, seriously. So now the Shrines are Wishing Wells like the ones in Lucky Palms that do the exact same thing -- cuz it’s not effing new. 

Get blessings from the shrine spirits!

Be granted unforseen riches!

But you miiiight get frogs instead of wishes every now and again though. :P

Onibi as Mood Lamp (REQ SN EP)

I made these little “demon fires” (onibi) as Mood Lamps, because it just makes sense.

They come in many different see-through variations, and are fully recolorable.

Daruma as Magic 8-Ball (SN EP REQ)

Now, I already made a Daruma 8-Ball in my Oshogatsu set a few Lunar New Years ago, and that one from TS2 is waaaaay nicer-looking. BUT, I decided to make the TS4 one too, because of the extra variations it includes:

The two normal Daruma are recolorable, but the extra variations are non-recolorable.

Tanabata Bamboo Plant, Tanabata Bamboo Plant as Fairy House (SN EP REQ)

Again: I already made Tanabata content in my older Lunar New Year sets. But I figured it would be cute to have them as a Fairy House, but also wanted the simmers without the SN EP to have something nice, so I made a decor version, too.

Carp Streamers as Radio

This is a radio, but yes, I put mine on the roof with MOO. I had no idea what I wanted to use them for, sue me.

Bamboo Fence Wall as Decor (found under Lawn Ornaments)

I would’ve LOVED to have been able to make these as real fences, but that’s a skill set way above my pay grade--as I do all this crap for free anyway, LOL.

It includes a recolorable variation, and a variation without the leaves, just the plain fence stalks.

Shrine Rocks (found under Lawn Ornaments) & 3 Monkeys (found under Sculptures) & Stone Lantern (found under Outdoor Lights)

I recommend using all of these with OMSP Resizers.

Heater as Fire Pit (functional)

So.. EA has these towel racks that has been bugging me from day one (when I wasn't using cc that is, lol) I hated that we didn't have any color options so, I have changed all of that.. Now we have 70 color choices of them.. This is just a quick recolor I did earlier today. I hope you guys like them, I tried to do as many colors as I could at the time to suit most styles..
